Yield
4 servings
Ingredients
1 cup almonds, pecans, macadamias, or cashews
3 cups coconut water
1 banana
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe Directions
1. If you are using almonds, soak them for about 8 hours or until they get nice and plump. Make sure to drain the water because of the low level toxins in the skins of the almonds have mixed with the water.
2. Pour 1 cup of coconut water in a blender and add the nuts and vanilla. Blend on high until nuts form into a thick cream.
3. Add the remaining 2 cups of coconut water and blend.
Humanimal's Thoughts
By humanimalThis could help kids eliminate harmful dairy products from their diets.
It also a good source of healthy unsaturated fat.
Now I can't think of a kid who won't enjoy this sweet treat.

Is the coconut water from a young coconut or the older ones? Thanks :) Sounds really delicious!
If you use Vanilla "Flavoring" (organic, Frontier makes it, and not expensive at all), instead of Vanilla "Extract," you also can avoid the alcohol. AND you could then make ice cream out of your recipe because the alcohol in extracts prevent freezing, but the flavorings don't. :) yummmmmmmmmmmmy!

This was really nice thanks. I make a banana milk by just putting chopped banana in the blender with enough water to achieve the desired consistancy. If you use frozen bananas it makes the milk really frothy. It is fantastic over chopped or grated apple in the morning... invigorating!!
