Ingredients
4 ripe bananas, frozen
12 Lg organic strawberries
1½ head organic red leaf lettuce, washed and torn well
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1 slice strawbery or banana, to garnish
cold H20 to blend
Recipe Directions
Let bananas thaw 5 or 10 minutes. Blend bananas with enough H20 to aid blender. Add strawberries and blend smooth. Rinse red leaf with very warm water to soften and tear into small pieces. Add red leaf and more H20 and blend smooth, a little added at a time till all leaf is gone and smoothie is still thick to your preference. Add flaxseed oil and blend. Serve in wine glasses. Garnish glass with a slice of strawberry or banana.

Lovely!
I haven't thought about adding flaxseed oil, but it's a good idea! Not only does it add omega3, but I just read at www.blindguru.com that it's a smart thing to add a bit oil and of course water when blending at high speed as it reduces the oxidation.
