4 large Sweet Vidalia onions
Recipe Directions
1. Cut onions into chunks and put in blender (I used a vita mix) blend until smooth.
2. Pour onion puree onto non stick dehydrator trays as if you were making a fruit roll up. Let it dry overnight.
3. When bone dry break up the sheet and put it into the blender. (I used the dry blade of the vita mix) And blend until a powder. So simple so tasty, use for any onion flavoring.

Really RAW onion powder.
I do this to many veggies that start to go bad.
Beets, celery, onions, even greens and then use them for flavorings.

Over the summer when I can get local good produce I want to do this, and not just for onion.
What I would really like is to take mixed veggies and dry then pulse into chunks for seasonings, or soup/dip mix.

Thanks. There's sometimes a tray in the dehydrator that is not being used and there's sometimes some veggies that are starting to go. I'm sure there will be recipes that need adjusting. I'll be able to tweek them with dried bell pepper, zucchini etc.
