WONDERFUL cookies! I just made these. I only used a quarter of the quantities and still came out with 6 cookies and a spoonful to eat undehydrated. I used walnuts - not pecans, both vanilla seeds and extract and I also added macadamia nuts to the base and used both raw cacao chips and raw cacao powder. It even smelled like I was making SAD cookies and I knew I could "lick the spoon" without a problem! Thank you so much, emilyjayne, for posting this divine recipe!

I find that the coconut butter melts, but still stays in the dehydrator when its on. I just let it sit at room temp to solidify a bit, or stick the whole tray in the fridge. That takes care of that problem!

My raw chocolate chip recipe called for cacao butter. The only problem with that is that when dehydrated, it will melt. A better chococlate chip recipe probably exist that would be great for this recipe. This recipe is awesome!!!! I think I'll add the vanilla ice cream.

These are delicious! I simply rolled my into little balls and put in the freezer for a bit, I did dehydrate them for a bit but the coconut oil was just very oily so they are great in the fridge, harden up right away. Its dangerous keeping these in the house!!

I made this account solely to post a comment to this recipe. This is the most amazing cookie I have come accross so far. It took me less than 20 minutes to put together (which includes nut grinding time), and it's fantabulous un-dehydrated, so I'm sure it's going to be amazing in about 8 hours also. It's the first thing (bought or made) that has made me never want the cooked version ever again! So, Thank you, Emily Jayne!

Oh yeah. Cocoa nibs work great, and it's all I had. The dough was delish, and I just tasted the cookies half-baked cookies. The only bad thing about it, is that they won't last very long.

fournd that the coconut oil melts a lot in the processor while blending.... So I am going to add some almond & hemp fibre from making mylk to the mixture in hopes that it will soak up the oil and then keep it soaked up in the dehydrator. It is a really tasty recipe so far... !!! and I am looking forward to seeing how they come out in the dehydrator. My partner is a BIG CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE FAN !!! so we'll see if this passes the test !!! I let you know...

In loving gratitude

I think there are a couple of recipes on this site for the chips. I am sooo making these soon... I think I'll just use cacao nibs as the chips though (and sub the cashews for powdered buckwheat... cause nuts + me = bad!). Thanks for the recipe!
