Ingredients
BASE
2 bananas (frozen)
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1 cup pecans
1/2 cup walnuts
MIX-INS
1/2 cup cookie dough (any kind you want)
1/4 cup caramel pecan bits (date paste and pecan bits)
1/4 cup small pieces of chocolate
1/4 cup almond or other nut butter
1/4 cup caramel (date paste with a tiny bit of coconut milk)
1/4 cup coconut shreds
Recipe Directions
BASE
1. Combine the ingredients in the food processor and mix until smooth.
2. Put ice cream in a large bowl.
MIX-INS
3. Fold in the cookie dough, chocolate, coconut shreds, and caramel pecan bits, and mix thoroughly.
4. Fold in the almond butter, letting it make streaks throughout the ice cream.
5. Fold in the caramel, letting it make streaks that weave through the ice cream. Enjoy!

i am SO excited to make this zambian leopard ice cream. i love the title. VERY CREATIVE. i saw a leopard in africa once. it was really exciting. anyway, i would like to pick up a few ingredients at the health food store. i've never made date paste. but, i'm interested in giving it a shot. thanx a bunch for creating this recipe. your photograph is gorgeous. thanx!!!!

I have a dead camera.
The ice cream itself looks prettier than the ice cream picture, with swirls of caramel and almond butter.
That's just the closest thing I could find, just in case there was a question about the proportions of mix ins to ice cream.

hey. how do i make it ice creamy in the freezer? did you use an ice cream machine or what or was it like ice cream already because of the frozen banana's... :-)

Forrestlyone, just do an advanced search for "cookie" and mark the recipe box. There are 9 pages of recipes. I'd say the possible combinations here are endless.

that really does look like a leopard!! i love it. i'm glad it doesn't have coconut in it. i can't find coconut at the grocery store!
