Recipe Directions

  • 1. Place dates in a food processor. Process until dates are reduced drastically in size, similar to the size of raisins.
  • 2. Add your fresh cranberries and pulse in the food processor briefly until the texture resembles this picture. (Do not overprocess because you still want there to be some chunks of cranberries visible.)
  • 3. Your raw cranberry relish is ready for your holiday goodness!

For added zest and holiday zeal add a small peeled, chopped orange with your cranberries for additional sweetness and acidity. Fun!

Wow, great recipe, and it uses dates. Can't wait to try it! I made a similar one before that included raw orange and sugar, but had too much sugar. Another thought - I might try adding some raisins too...

Yes this was great! The raisins made it more sweet, so I added an additional half cup of cranberries. The dates balance out the sourness of the cranberries just right. It's great being able to enjoy a lot of raw cranberries without needing to add sugar!

Fabulous recipe! The orange juice and zest make a very festive addition. I also added a sprinkle of cinnamon, a pinch of cloves and served a dollop of this relish alongside cauliflower mash and marinated mushrooms. The taste explosion was sensational!

Oh my gosh this so so delicious. I added some fresh squeezed orange juice and orange zest. It is amazing how the dates sweeten the cranberry sauce so it is not tart at all.

This recipe was amazingly delicious and easy. I think I enjoy it even more than SAD cranberry sauce. Even my mom thinks it's even better!
I topped some raw cashew cheese with it for my Christmas dinner.
Yum.
