Yield
Serves 2-4 beautiful beings
Ingredients
4 cups organic almond flour
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
Onion powder
2 large ripe organic tomatoes
2 sun-dried tomatoes
3 dates (soaked)
1 clove of garlic
1 slice fresh ginger
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Recipe Directions
GNOCCHI
1. Mix almond flour with the garlic and onion powder, lemon juice and sea salt. Add small amounts of water until a dough forms.
2. With clean hands, shape dough into small balls. Refrigerate.
MARINARA
3. Blend the rest of the ingredients together, adding small amounts of water at intervals, until the sauce reaches the desired consistency. Personally, the thicker the better!
4. Pour sauce into bowls and drop the gnocchi balls in.
5. Garnish with sliced raw mushrooms, basil leaves, and cracked black pepper.

radish_man,
I made these for lunch today with the marinara sauce, they were so good and rich mmm, I cut the almond with flaxseed meal and I did not have flour, I used my small food processor which does not grind things to a fine flour. So the almond-flaxmeal was chunky. I used real garlic, real shallots b/c I do not have onion or garlic powder and its just not available here. Well, they were scrumptious. I had been eating quite lightly these days and today I had an appetite and this was a rich, satisfying and comforting meal. Thank you so much!!!

mmmh, delicious! I can hardly believe how good the gnocchi are. I've only been raw for a week and really felt like something warm, homey*dinner*like. This is it! Raw keeps getting more and more attractive. Thanks :)

a really great way to make your own almond flour is to use a coffee grinder...I use it to grind all my seeds & nuts :)

REALLY GOOD! Strangely normal tasting even though I doubled the ginger. Adding to the recipe book as we speak.

This was my first Gone Raw recipe and it wasn't good. The Gnocchi balls were delicious but the sauce was bitter/sweet/weird. Next time I'll cut the ACV and maybe even the sun dried tomatoes.

This sounds so rich and good, I may cut the almond with ground flaxseed. But mmm, it sounds delish, thank you.

Yes you can buy raw almond flour or almond meal from your local health food store or market. If preferred, just chuck your raw almonds into a processor/grinder and grind into a flour. It can be stored in an air tight container until needed.

Can you buy raw almond flour, or do you have to make it? If you have to make it, how do you do that? Thanks! This sounds really yummy!
