The Rawtarian's Thoughts
By The Rawtarian Don't believe me that this could taste as good as old-school SAD (standard American diet) ranch? Just try it. I dare ya :)
Raw ranch dressing is another one of those things that I cannot believe it's possible to replicate raw. But, hallelujah, it is possible.
There is nothing like a nice fresh carrot dipped in raw ranch dressing, no?
And I have even had the pleasure of dipping my raw vegan pizza in raw ranch dressing. "Cue heavenly harp sound...."
So here's my favourite raw ranch dressing recipe for you... I use it basically like a normal salad dressing or dip. I usually make one batch and serve it as a vegetable dip, salad dressing and maybe even on a few more exciting things, like in a raw vegan BLT sandwich or dip raw pizza in it if I am feeling particularly daring.
Of course, you also know that the best vegetables to dip in raw ranch dressing are carrots and broccolli, right?

You are so welcome :) This ranch dressing actually tastes so good I don't think I will not have any in my fridge from now on. So good it feels like I am being bad eating it....but not so which is the real bonus.

Raw ranch dressing recipe
OMG! This is the best raw dressing I have tried to date! I have been having a hard time finding a good one. I left out the olive oil to make it less fattening since it already had so many cashews and I found it to be just perfect! I also used only one tbsp of maple syrup and it was just sweet enough. I think 3 would have overdone it. Thank you so much for all of your creative yet simple recipes! We will be having a huge garden salad tonight with this dressing and cream of celery soup! So excited!

Raw ranch dressing recipe
Hey do you have a substitute for lemon? My mom is allergic to all types of citrus

Hi Jenna,
You can omit the lemon from this recipe - perhaps consider adding a bit more apple cider vinegar instead for added acidity

Raw ranch dressing recipe
I adore this recipe. I make it all the time and eat a huge salad every day with this delicious ranch dressing. It really does taste like regular ranch dressing. Because I don't have a high-speed blender, I use my food processor. I process the cashews first to a nut butter consistency then add the other ingredients and process. I am curious if anyone has tried omitting the sweetener altogether and if it worked okay?

Hi Faith - Thanks for your comment. It's insights like yours that make this place great :)
It's probably fine without the sweetener. But not quite as good! But still fine :)

Raw ranch dressing recipe
Holy Guacamole this is good! I made mine with raw cashew butter I bought last week. Good thing too cause I don't own a high speed blender and I killed a food processor trying to make almond butter in the past. I only used 1/3 of the agave syrup though, this cashew butter is made with coconut oil so it's sweet on its own. Here's the link for anyone interested http://www.paleocottage.com/#!product/prd1/1877947785/cashew-butter

Raw ranch dressing recipe
this is the first actual raw dressing i actually love, all the other i have been making i like them eat them but they are too plain, but this one omg! its delicious, i did soaked the cashews since i wasn't sure, and it was a bit liquidy so i added some more dry and i did not used olive oil ( since cashews are quite fatty already) and cut the maple syrup and salt to half, i only had fresh dill to which i added extra cause i love it, and extra lime ( didnt have lemon)some black pepper, and instead of 2 garlic cloves i added 1 fresh clove and some garlic powde... i loved it!! thank you!!

Raw ranch dressing recipe
I just made this dressing. I also found it to be too sweet. I used agave. Next time, I'll use one instead of three tbsp. After I added some extra salt, lemon juice and vinigar it was enjoyable though. Still a great recipe! Thanks for sharing! :)

Johannes, I hope you find it more to your liking with 1 tbsp next time! Glad you still liked it! :)

I made this today for my family with the hope of finding a healthier alternative for my ranch dressing loving family. overall, i think it has some wonderful flavors. however, my 3 boys all complained that it was too sweet and tasted almost like bleu cheese dressing. i'm a little bummed because now they won't eat it (i will though!). do you have any suggestions on how to make this already made portion less sweet? next time, i will use only a fraction of the sweetener.
