I’m just trying to feel my best physically, mentally, and emotionally.
When started with a 100% raw diet, I had an unsatiable appetite, which would eventually set me up for binges. And, I didnâ€™t have the time or patience to prepare meals with all the nutrition I needed. I was living off of pices of fruit and cuts of raw veggies. Now, I donâ€™t have a purely raw diet, Iâ€™m doing what works for me. I let myself have 6oz of greek yogurt a day (For the protein my body LOVES, plus itâ€™s amazingly nutritious!). I let myself have 1 serving of a â€œcheatâ€ food as often as once a day (I usually have them about 4 times a week.) I didnâ€™t want to say, â€œOK, nothingâ€™s off-limits.â€ That was overwhelming and could easily turn a â€œcheatâ€ into a binge. I have a list of about 6 or 7 things including popcorn, soy milk, tofu, jellybeans (I KNOW!), and beer/wine.
